Gordon B. Hinckley said, "My plea is that we stop seeking out the storms and enjoy more fully the sunlight. I am suggesting that as we go through life, we accentuate the positive." This year we hope to focus more on the positive blessings in our life. Hopefully, this blog is a source of optimism for us now and in the future.

Chinese Love

Since it was both Valentine's Day and Chinese New Year, we decided to do a combined celebration. We made homemade fortune cookies with love messages in them. On each "fortune," Christian got to say what he loved about each member of our family. Some of them included:

Andrew shares toys with me.
Andrew likes to play dinosaurs with me.
Mommy makes yummy food.
Mommy has a very nice voice while she reads to me.
Daddy builds big tunnel bridges for me.
Daddy always wants to put me to bed each night.
Christian is nice to share with his brother. (from Jonathon)
Christian likes to help me clean and fix things. (from Jonathon)

BUT MY FAVORITE ONE:
Mommy always tells me to be nice and to listen to her.
(Jonathon asked if this was something he loved about me and he said "yes." haha.)

Oh, and these were really yummy and easy to make fortune cookies. Find the recipe here.
