Gordon B. Hinckley said, "My plea is that we stop seeking out the storms and enjoy more fully the sunlight. I am suggesting that as we go through life, we accentuate the positive." This year we hope to focus more on the positive blessings in our life. Hopefully, this blog is a source of optimism for us now and in the future.

A Toddler New Year's Eve

One of our friends decided to host a New Year's Eve party especially for toddlers.  It was such a blast.  We made mini pizzas, ate goldfish and apple juice, played Guitar Hero (for the adults), played with new Christmas toys (for the kids), and watched some Toddler karaoke.  The best part about the whole evening was that New Year's came at 7:oo P.M.-- complete with hats, noise-makers, a countdown, and a balloon full of candy that dropped from the ceiling.  It was such a great idea, and "Noah and fam" pulled it off beautifully!  I think we will definitely make this a tradition while the kids are still little.  Oh, and if you are wondering...this 9 month pregnant mama actually made it until the real New Year's countdown...but just barely.

Great idea and I'm truly impressed you lasted to ring in the New Year. Hey best of luck bring jr # into the world. Loved your Christmas letter! We always got PEZ dispensers in our stockings too. They're the best.

What a fun way to celebrate with little kids. I have too many big kids to pull that one off... my toddler just stayed up until midnight. Ouch. He slept all afternoon the next day.
