Gordon B. Hinckley said, "My plea is that we stop seeking out the storms and enjoy more fully the sunlight. I am suggesting that as we go through life, we accentuate the positive." This year we hope to focus more on the positive blessings in our life. Hopefully, this blog is a source of optimism for us now and in the future.

Christmas Morning

We had such a wonderful Christmas.  For our little 2 year old, it was pure MAGIC!  We stayed in New York for the holidays and in our pajamas all Christmas day.  Here are some pictures of the fun.
Christian's favorite gift was a Pez dispenser from his stocking.  He was so fascinated by it that he had a hard time opening any other gifts.  Next year... no presents... just Pez.

Jonathon and Christian examining our fun new game called "Ticket to Ride."  We've already played it 3 times.

My new sewing machine.  Next step... learn to sew :)

Sitting in front of the "fire."
One TV station here shows this fireplace scene for several hours on Christmas morning to create a nice mood for all of us without real fireplaces.

Our Christmas breakfast.
We combined our two family traditions and had cinnamon rolls, oranges, hot chocolate, and yogurt for breakfast.  YUM!

First of all, I love the fireplace station! how hilarious. I'm glad you like ticket to ride--Eric got Ticket to Ride Europe from my parents. it is so fun!

Dude, we LOVE Ticket to Ride. We have the Europe version, which is a different strategy, and we always get our butts kicked when we play the US version with people who own it. Oh well.

Good luck with the next few weeks, and baby stuff. One of my BFF's just had a baby boy. Doesn't make me baby hungry (not much could, really), but it's fun to see such a little person! I'm looking forward to pics of your new little one.
