Gordon B. Hinckley said, "My plea is that we stop seeking out the storms and enjoy more fully the sunlight. I am suggesting that as we go through life, we accentuate the positive." This year we hope to focus more on the positive blessings in our life. Hopefully, this blog is a source of optimism for us now and in the future.

Welcome Home, Hannah!

Hannah returned home from her mission to Trujillo, Peru on October 11th. We missed her so much and were so excited to have her back. Our entire family plus many cousins and aunts and uncles filled the Boise Airport. The little nieces and nephews made cute signs to welcome home Auntie Hannah. They worked so hard on them and probably spent 2 full hours making them look beautiful. Mom, Dad, Daniel, Claire, and Matt all flew down to Peru to pick her up and then tour Machu Pichu, so they were all returning together. When Hannah walked through the doors, a cheer went up, and the hugging commenced. While she was gone, three new babies were born, so she got to meet each one of them. She also paid lots of attention to her adoring nieces and nephews. We were lucky enough to get a hug as well.
Anxiously awaiting their arrival:

Hannah and all the Grandkids
(no nap = sad Hyrum)

We were only in Idaho for 2 days, so we packed it completely full of family time. Just hours after she got home, we got family pictures taken. Ben leaves on his mission to Omaha, NE in January, so there isn't much time when we are all together. After the pictures, we all attended my cousin, Brady's, wedding reception. Then it was home again to chat, play games, and put the weary travelers to bed. On Sunday morning, we went to church and then had a big family dinner. We had a short family home evening afterward and got to ask Hannah questions about her mission. Then we had to hit the road to make it back for school the next day. It was way too short, but so fun to be together again.
