BYU Football and Family Fun!

This year we bought season tickets to BYU football with the Olsons. We split up the games so that each couple/family got to go to a few games. Our chance to take the whole family to a game happened last Saturday at the BYU vs Weber St. game. I was able to buy Christian a highly discounted membership to Cosmo's Kids Club, and with it he got four extra football tickets. We decided to make it a big event and invited four of Jonathon's siblings to attend the game with us. The opponent wasn't all that exciting, but our seats were fantastic and the weather was great.

Our season tickets are with a big group of my cousins that attend BYU. It was so fun to see them all and chat during the game. It made me feel like a college kid again (except with 2 children). With so many members of both families there, our group was pretty big. And believe it our not, there were several cousins missing from this particular game. Here is a picture of the whole gang, minus Jonathon who was taking it:

During the game, we were especially focused on helping the boys have fun because we know that games can be very long. Luckily, our awesome seats made it so that they could see the field really well, and there was plenty of room for them to wiggle around and not be in the way. The yummy lemonade slushies and buttery popcorn didn't hurt either.

BYU was winning by a lot, so when the kids started getting tired after the third quarter, we decided to bail while everyone was still happy. We tried to take some family pictures outside of the stadium, but both boys seem to be in an awkward smile phase. This was the best we could do:

After a few attempts with the whole family, we decided that a good "couple" picture would have to do. The day could not have been better. We love BYU and hope to be able to make it a yearly tradition.
