5 days and 2,500 miles later, Jonathon and the moving truck pulled up to our new house in Utah. He documented his trip through pictures.
Day 1: New York to West Virginia (to stay with family)
*Jonathon and his dad took turns driving the moving truck while the rest of his family followed in the Suburban. The truck was 26' long (we shared the truck with a family we knew from NY) and had to stop at all the weigh stations. Jonathon said it was stressful to drive, but luckily, everything went very smoothly. The winding mountains of West Virginia were a little taxing on the truck, but they arrived at Uncle Roger's safely the first night.
Day 2: West Virginia to St. Louis, MO
*They spent the night at a hotel right next to the arch in St. Louis. There wasn't room in the parking lot for the truck, so they parked at Busch Stadium, home of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team. I kind of love that picture. haha
Day 3: St. Louis, MO to Kansas City, MO
*Jonathon and his family had the opportunity to stop at some church history spots this day including: Independence, Liberty Jail, Far West, and Adam-Ondi-Ahman at sunset.
Day 4: Kansas City, MO to Denver, CO
*Jonathon loved the wind turbines in Kansas. The eastern half of Kansas had rolling hills, but the western half was really flat. He tried to capture the flatness in the mirrors. It is my favorite picture of the whole trip.
Day 5: Denver, CO to Utah
*The first sighting of the Rocky Mountains just outside of Denver was a welcome view. We haven't seen "real" mountains in 3 years. Welcome back to the West!
After dinner with family in Henefer (Thanks Aunt Sharon!), they pulled in at 9 P.M. on Friday night. Jonathon's dad was still full of energy, so they unloaded the truck that night. The boys and I joined them on Saturday. We are happy to be back together and at our new home in Utah.

Great story! Glad you guys are back. I wanna eat food at aunt sharon's. yum! I enjoyed seeing all those cute Hill's and Amanda's Pizza My Heart Capitola sweatshirt. ;)
Them unloading the truck immediately doesn't surprise me at all. A 5000 mile trip and they weren't resting the next day either!
Is Jonathon's Dad EVER not full of energy?! :) Fun that they could make the move a family trip.
