Gordon B. Hinckley said, "My plea is that we stop seeking out the storms and enjoy more fully the sunlight. I am suggesting that as we go through life, we accentuate the positive." This year we hope to focus more on the positive blessings in our life. Hopefully, this blog is a source of optimism for us now and in the future.

The Yankees Win, THHHEEEE Yankees Win!

On Monday night, we went to our first game at the new Yankee Stadium. 16 of Jonathon's lab-mates got tickets with us. We had a fantastic time! The Yankees played the Baltimore Orioles and ended up beating them 4-1. CC Sabathia was the pitcher, and as usual, Jeter and ARod played.

Leaving the boys was hard because Andrew was screaming as we tried to sneak out the door. He has a history of treating babysitters badly, so I was a little apprehensive at the game. About halfway through we got a text message from our awesome sitters saying he stopped crying 2 minutes after we left and went to bed without a peep. Yay for kind people who are willing to watch our little bugs. The rest of the game was a lot less stressful.

The stadium was beautiful. It was very clean and had a nice open feel. I noticed a huge contrast between it and Fenway Park in Boston. Fenway is small and has so much character, but Yankee stadium was much more "corporate." We were in our usual seats at the top of the stadium, but at least we weren't on the very back row like most events we have attended. Regardless, we had such a nice evening. This might have been our last Yankees game... ever, so we really wanted to enjoy it.

We are NOT Yankees Fans here! (Go A's, Go Giants) But it would have still been fun to go to a game! I'm glad you had the chance.
