Gordon B. Hinckley said, "My plea is that we stop seeking out the storms and enjoy more fully the sunlight. I am suggesting that as we go through life, we accentuate the positive." This year we hope to focus more on the positive blessings in our life. Hopefully, this blog is a source of optimism for us now and in the future.

The Newest Cousin

At the end of April, we were able to attend the baby blessing of Kym and Joe's baby girl, Savannah. She is a beauty, and we were so happy to be able to celebrate with them. They have a tradition of blessing their babies at the home of family members, so that everyone doesn't have to travel so far. This time it was held at Kym's grandparent's home, which just happens to be about 15 minutes from our house. It was super convenient for us, and the rest of the family drove down from Idaho and stayed with us for a few days. That was a fun bonus! It is a unique experience to be able to bless a baby at home and makes for very special memories.
