Christmas Eve has been the same at our house for the last 20 years, and I love it! My parents always invite Uncle Roger's family down for a huge party. When we were little, we would dress up and re-enact the Christmas story. Dad even built a stable that we used every year until we outgrew it. As we got older, the night turned into more of a talent show that included reciting scriptures, singing songs, and giving little talks on various topics that Dad assigned. It was so fun to be home this year to experience our traditional Christmas Eve again. Everyone from both families participated and it was such a fun night.
Dad started the evening by reading Luke II
Claire and Daniel sang "Away in a Manger"
Christian and Andrew both quoted an Article of Faith. They did awesome and performed like real pros.
The whole gang chatting while waiting for our traditional frappe! Frappe is sherbet, ice cream, and Sprite blended together into a divine drink.
After the party, Christian and Andrew were so excited for Christmas. Christian was determined to prove that Santa Clause didn't exist, so he made a big deal about leaving frappe and carrots to test his hypothesis. Uncle Matt helped out Santa and Christian seemed appeased the next morning.
