Gordon B. Hinckley said, "My plea is that we stop seeking out the storms and enjoy more fully the sunlight. I am suggesting that as we go through life, we accentuate the positive." This year we hope to focus more on the positive blessings in our life. Hopefully, this blog is a source of optimism for us now and in the future.

Spring Break Part II-- Lexington and Concord

*After Plymouth, we headed to Lexington to start a short battlefield tour. We started at Lexington, drove past the site of Paul Revere's capture, and ended up at the Old North Bridge, where the "shot heard 'round the world" was fired.

*The Northeast (especially Rhode Island) was seriously flooded after several large storms. While we were driving, we had to change our route 3 times in order to get around the water. The flooding was particularly bad at the Old North Bridge, as evidenced by this sign.

*Here is our family at the Old North Bridge. This was my favorite stop along the battlefield. It was here that most people say the Revolutionary War officially started. Amazing history...

Looks like a fun trip! I once went on a business trip to the Boston area. My mom, who accompanied me, got to see lots of the things you did, but I only got to see Concord. We still remember the big fall leaves we saw there.
