Gordon B. Hinckley said, "My plea is that we stop seeking out the storms and enjoy more fully the sunlight. I am suggesting that as we go through life, we accentuate the positive." This year we hope to focus more on the positive blessings in our life. Hopefully, this blog is a source of optimism for us now and in the future.

Christian's First Play

Jonathon took Christian on a fun father-son outing yesterday. They went downtown to a special Off-Broadway play called Click, Clack, MOO. It was an extremely experienced and talented cast-- several of the actors were in Broadway plays and touring groups. The coolest thing was that the play was completely FREE due to lots of generous donors. Christian had a fantastic time and came home telling me all about the play. In his words....

"It was about cows that said MOO. They were cold and wanted blankets. They used the little girl's computer to type an email to the farmer. There were chickens too. They danced. The pigs snorted like this: Oink, Oink. The pigs didn't dance. The farmer and girl danced with the animals. "

The play was based on a children's book of the same name. We checked it out from the library several months ago, so Christian had an idea of what to expect. He had a great time, and I am glad that he could get some culture while growing up in New York City.
