Gordon B. Hinckley said, "My plea is that we stop seeking out the storms and enjoy more fully the sunlight. I am suggesting that as we go through life, we accentuate the positive." This year we hope to focus more on the positive blessings in our life. Hopefully, this blog is a source of optimism for us now and in the future.

Newest Arrival

Announcing the newest addition to our Family:

SALLY

We may live in New York City, but our small town roots were evident this week when we got a phone call from my dad telling us that our cow had a calf.  We have a really great tradition in my family that when we turn eight years old, my dad and mom give us a calf.  That calf grows up and will produce a calf each year that we can sell to earn money for college, missions, etc.  It has been such a huge blessing to each of us kids to have an opportunity to earn our own money. The year that Jonathon and I got married and were completely broke, my cow had twins that we sold to keep us afloat.  Sally is the newest part of this tradition.  Christian was very excited to see our baby and name it.  He named her after a character in his favorite movie right now...Cars.

So, Sally, may you grow big, be healthy, and bring lots of money to help us survive another year in New York.

Sarah! I found your blog through Angela. It is your old time friend Suzy Bangerter. Such a beautiful family you have. Good to hear an update.
