Gordon B. Hinckley said, "My plea is that we stop seeking out the storms and enjoy more fully the sunlight. I am suggesting that as we go through life, we accentuate the positive." This year we hope to focus more on the positive blessings in our life. Hopefully, this blog is a source of optimism for us now and in the future.

Death of a Computer

At 4:14 P.M. on April 12, 2008, the Hills computer silently slipped away as the cord was pulled for the last time.  PC had lived a long and fulfilling life in the Hill household.  Originally a hand-me-down from Grandpa O., PC had a severe virus and was deathly ill.  We thought we would lose him at that time 4 years ago.  Through major invasive surgery, PC recovered and lived to serve for many more years. However, age slowly caught up with PC.  As his processor began to slow, he found it more and more difficult to keep up with new technologies. We will miss PC and the many fond memories we have made over the years.  PC was special because he was with us our entire marriage to this point.  PC was a faithful servant and friend. There is some sadness as the old passes and this new chapter in our lives begins. However, on that note...

We would like to announce a new addition to the Hill household. At 4:15 P.M. on Saturday, MAC arrived.  Weighing in at 26 pounds with a 20 inch screen and beautiful HD resolution, MAC has given us nothing but smiles and joy.  We look forward to working with him for many years to come.

By the way, my calculations show that PC was 109 years old in computer-years. (78 years equals average human lifespan, 5 years equals average computer life span, PC was 7 years old)
